Below you will find additional information from AmerisourceBergen regarding the panel discussion.

AmerisourceBergen is proud to announce that nearly 1,000 letters regarding DIR fees, provider status and pharmacy visits were sent to state and federal representatives during ThoughtSpot 2017—all thanks to the success of the Advocacy in Action events, which included a riveting panel discussion.

Representative Doug Collins, 9th District of Georgia, and NCPA CEO Doug Hoey, RPh, MBA, were joined by an esteemed group of AmerisourceBergen panelists to discuss the current state of affairs in independent pharmacy and what independent community pharmacists can do to lend their voice to advocate policy change on important issues like Provider Status and DIR Transparency.

Also participating in the panel, pharmacist Danny Cross, Owner of Southwest Pharmacy and Advanced Medication, and Chairman of the New Mexico Pharmacy Business Council, who shared his experience with a grassroots advocacy initiative in New Mexico and Texas that got results.
