Honoring Excellence in Independent Pharmacy: 2025 WSPC Award Winners

At WSPC, we are proud to work alongside the most passionate, forward-thinking, and community-focused independent pharmacies nationwide. Each year, WSPC recognizes outstanding members who demonstrate excellence in patient care, operational innovation and a strong commitment to their profession and communities. We are excited to announce the winners of our two highest honors for 2025:

Bob Dominguez Pharmacy of the Year

Left to Right: Kevin DeMass, RPh, Sarkis Tatarian, Hrag Bakarian, Deanna Bush

Beach Terrace Pharmacy | Stanton, Calif.

Founded by Sarkis Tatarian and Hrag Bakarian in 2022, Beach Terrace Pharmacy has quickly grown from a startup with zero prescriptions to a thriving pharmacy dedicated to innovation and exceptional service.

Their team focuses on chronic illness care by regularly collaborating with specialty providers in cardiology, dialysis, pulmonology, and low vision care. Their commitment to accessibility includes offering free delivery through eight dedicated drivers and providing talking labels to assist blind and low vision patients, including those served by the Braille Institute.

Beach Terrace Pharmacy’s diverse, multilingual staff speaks more than seven languages. Team members are thoroughly trained in prior authorizations, insurance billing and GNP University clinical topics. This expertise enables them to engage in more meaningful conversations with both patients and providers.

In 2024, the pharmacy was recognized with Stanton’s “Best of Business Rate” distinction and remains active in advocacy efforts through CPHA and NCPA while proudly championing the WSPC network. We are excited to honor their outstanding achievements with this year’s Bob Dominguez Pharmacy of the Year Award.

John Bruce Diamond Award

Deanna Bush, Paige Spriggs, Tanner Spriggs, Kevin DeMass, RPh, Tim Cernohous

Park View Pharmacy | Layton, Utah

Since its opening in May 2024, Park View Pharmacy has quickly established itself as a model of operational excellence and adaptability. Founded by Shawn Spriggs, RPh, in partnership with Tanner Clinic, the pharmacy is located within a clinic and urgent care setting, allowing prescriptions to be filled in minutes as patients move from provider to pharmacy.

Under the day-to-day leadership of Spencer Spriggs, the team adopts a community-first approach by building strong relationships with local prescribers, a nearby assisted living center and the hospital and surgery center down the street. Their commitment to addressing local needs through tailored services, free delivery and expanded long-term care capabilities reflects the essence of independent pharmacy.

In just a few months, Park View Pharmacy has gained a reputation for clinical efficiency, patient access and community integration, making it a deserving recipient of the 2025 John Bruce Diamond Award.

Advocacy in Action: Kevin DeMass, RPh

Good Neighbor Pharmacy Advocacy Champion

WSPC remains deeply committed to pharmacy advocacy at all levels of government, and this year, our voice was heard loud and clear.

We proudly celebrate our COO and SVP, Kevin DeMass, RPh, for being named the 2025 Good Neighbor Pharmacy Advocacy Champion. From hosting key officials including FTC Commissioner Melissa Holyoak, Congresswoman Celeste Maloy and Utah Insurance Commissioner Jon Pike in his pharmacy, to representing independent pharmacy at the national level in Washington, D.C., Kevin’s leadership has inspired advocacy not just within WSPC but across the profession.

His dedication to reforming pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) practices and protecting patient access has left a lasting mark, and we are honored to call him one of our own.

Congratulations to all of our 2025 award winners, and thank you to everyone who attended our Member Reception.
