Barry has added a fourth Medicine Man Pharmacy to our WSPC roster, and this one is located in a grocery store in the small town of Athol, Idaho. People come to Athol from all over to enjoy Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Oreille, and Silverwood Theme Park.
Barry’s focus is on the clinical side, which has always included providing immunizations. The new Idaho state law, Pharmacist Prescriptive Authority Rule Docket 27-0104-1701, provided Barry the opportunity to expand his clinical services to include testing and prescribing medications to treat select, common conditions like cold sores, seasonal influenza, strep throat, and urinary tract infections, as well as provide statins for patients with diabetes.
In recent years, Barry and his staff have focused on marketing via Facebook and other social media outlets, which generated a good, healthy buzz in the community well before the Athol location opened for business. Barry says, “We look forward to sharing best advertising business practices that engage a personal touch and genuine sense of community.”
