Independent pharmacy returns to the picturesque community of Bainbridge Island. WSPC members Mark and KC Tan celebrated opening their second pharmacy in August. They have the unique opportunity to serve an island population with no independent pharmacies. Bainbridge Island, Washington, is located just across Puget Sound from Seattle. The upscale community connects to the Seattle metro area by a routine ferry schedule and Agate Pass Bridge on the north island shore.
When asked about their business philosophy, KC said, “I believe in the importance of community pharmacy and the relationships you build. The power of word-of-mouth has helped us be successful. I work with my local providers and believe in great customer service. I remind my staff to treat their patients as their boss.”
