Make the most of upcoming opportunities to engage members of Congress while they are back home by inviting them to visit your pharmacy! Upcoming in-district work periods are currently scheduled for May 25-June 4, June 29- July 9, and July 27-Sept. 3. Since January, more than 20 members of Congress or their staff have either visited an independent pharmacy or met with pharmacists in the district, with several additional visits pending. This in-district engagement helps legislators understand the role independent pharmacists play in the health care system, the challenges they face, and the need for legislative action.
