Alaska Pharmacy Association: Taking Action

“Our Alaskan WSPC members are very active and are on the forefront of independent pharmacy.”
This year marks 53 years of Alaskan pharmacists gathering at the Alaska Pharmacy Association Convention and Trade Show. This year’s convention, in February, took place at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel. Mellissa Ellis, WSPC Business Consultant (pictured at left with WSPC Alaska Regional Leader Dirk White), joined WSPC members to attend and host a booth.

“As a group, all our WSPC members were there, united, providing support and had the opportunity to connect,” Melissa said. “Our Alaskan WSPC members are very active and are on the forefront of independent pharmacy.”

The Alaska Pharmacy Association is always looking for innovative ways to support independent pharmacy: The annual Fly-in Legislation Day is just another way Alaska pharmacies are uniting to take up the legislative fight for independent pharmacies and learn about the Bills that impact our industry. Together they are finding new partnerships and pilot programs, like CPESN, to better deliver patient care and keep pharmacies whole.
