2017 Northwest Pharmacy Convention

By Jerry Van Pevenage, RPh, CIO & Member Communication, WSPC

Western States Pharmacy Coalition was represented by Erica Willson and Jerry and Judie Van Pevenage at the 2017 Northwest Pharmacy Convention held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, June 1–4, at the beautiful Coeur d’Alene Resort.

The Northwest Pharmacy Convention is considered the premier annual meeting event for various retail and hospital pharmacy professions from across Washington, Idaho, and Montana. This event featured over 500 attendees participating in continuing education sessions and networking opportunities.

The attendees had an uninterrupted afternoon to learn more about the services and goods available from over 60 pharmacy service and supplier organizations from across the nation.

Erica, Jerry, and Judie prepared the booth and were available to share the mission and desire of Western States Pharmacy Coalition to provide outstanding independent pharmacies with innovative programs and resources to strengthen and grow their business.

We welcomed the opportunity to visit with current and prospective members of Western States Pharmacy Coalition. Our conversations with the many pharmacy students from the three states centered on encouraging careers in independent community pharmacy practice.

This is the second year WSPC has attended this event and found it to be an opportunity to meet with pharmacists, technicians and students from the three-state area.
